Here is another (short) Mandelbulb3D fractal fly-thru. Sorry, not much to say about this one.
This incredibly short animation took a little over nine months to finish, from concept to completion. By it’s nature, the design and physics of the animation were hand-coded. The individual frames were rendered at HD resolution in POV-Ray for Windows 3.62 on my ancient quad-core PC tower. Because of the huge amount of computations it takes to render media objects (the glowy glass-ball things), some frames took as long as two days apiece to render.
Here are some plant-like fractals, created with Mandelbulb3D. Some of them have been animated into videos.
Rendered over a four month period, this Mandelbulb3D animation offers a cautionary tale of the birth, life, and death of fractal artichokes.
